I was one of the main organizers and event planners for the Nurse-Led Care Conference 2019: Designing the Future of Healthcare, held October 1-3, 2019 in Nashville, Tennessee. This is the annual conference of the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium. My responsibilities included scouting locations for the conference, coordination with the hotel, general planning, communications strategy, marketing, day-of social media, graphic design for all conference materials, and other duties as needed.
Below, you can see designs of branded conference materials. I was the creative director and graphic designer for these projects. Some of the designs below are concepts that were not used for the conference.

Looping PowerPoint Slides
The PowerPoint slides shown below are a selection of a group of slides that were projected on screens in conference areas. Slides automatically advanced every 18 seconds (the gif above advances every 3 seconds). PowerPoint slides displayed at the conference used a fade transition with a 1.5 second delay. The presentation was looped to play continuously as attendees arrived, during breaks, the networking reception, and were modified for use for our Executive Director’s presentation.
2019 Conference Program Book
The 20-page program book was the single biggest creative project for the conference. I was the creative lead and designer. Three other staff members supported this project. I used Adobe InDesign for the booklet, Photoshop to edit photos, and Illustrator to draw the conference center map on page 3. The booklet was printed in full color by Fireball Printing in Philadelphia. This is the same printer we used for our 2018 Conference Program Book.
Cvent Conference App
We used Cvent’s CrowdCompass AttendeeHub conference app for this event. The app supplemented the print program and included the full schedule, photos and bios of all presenters, the ability to network with attendees, scheduled push notifications, important links, and a social media feed.
Retractable Floor Banner Stand
We had several retractable banners at our event for marketing and a step-and-repeat photo banner. We prefer the retractable design for portability and ease of set-up. Banners were placed at registration, exhibitor tables, reception area, in the main ballroom, and outside breakout rooms.
Breakout Room Poster
Breakout sessions were organized into three rooms based on categories: Value-Based Care, Workforce Development, and Policy & Social Determinants of Health.
At the Core of Care Podcast Postcard
The Pennsylvania Action Coalition is a project housed in the National Nurse-Led Care Consortium and we recently produced a podcast called At the Core of Care. I designed postcards that were distributed at registration and an exhibitor table.
